名称来历[edit]
村处偏远的山脚，地势较高，耕地多呈梯形，而輋地多、田地少，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前村名为茅前，后改称茅輋乡；1986年成立村委会，1989年起称茅輋管理区，1999年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
红色历史[edit]
1939年夏，村中建立党支部，以茅前小学为活动据点。1941年至1942年春，党员学习培训班曾在村中南粤庵举办，南粤庵因而成为龙川游击武装活动旧址。[3]
村中南越山上立有茅輋革命烈士纪念碑，始建于2002年，碑上嵌有铁场革命烈士英名录。[4]
