新南村位于紫市镇境内，属村庄性质的行政村，村名因其地处“永新”之南而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，此地为雅寄乡下的永新小乡；1958年划入鹤市公社，改称新南大队；1976年归紫市公社。[1]1984年由社改区，设新南乡；1987年改为村委会，1989年后设管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]

荣誉与近年情况[edit]

河源市文明委在2021年1月为新南村颁授「2020年度河源市文明村」称号。[1]2026年1月，新南村获得广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村的称号。[1]

2021年，镇政府报告提到新南村的省级美丽乡村示范创建工程已接近完工。[3]2023年，该村村集体收入也已达到年度预计的最高额度。[2]
