径口村与紫城镇上庄村交界处有一条名叫湖洋径的小路，是去县城的必经之道，村名取自这里。[1] 2024年3月被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

径口在1952年设乡，隶属第二区，1958年成大队，1983年9月复称乡，1987年4月转为村委会，1989年底改管理区，1999年4月又改回村委会。2004年，邻近的华山村委会撤销，并入径口。[1]
