历史沿革[edit]

上庄村的建置依次为：附城公社新樟大队的一部分（1958年）、黄花公社上樟大队（1961年）、附城公社上樟大队（1963年）、附城区上樟乡（1983年）、附城乡上庄村委会（1987年）、上庄管理区（1989年）、附城镇上庄村委会（1999年）。2009年7月起属紫城镇。[1]

此地原名“樟村”，因樟木多而得名，后分成上下两村，上村称上樟，下村称新樟，以后又写作上庄、新庄；因处于水源上游，称上庄。[2]
