中田村在埔前镇东南部，离圩镇2.5公里，占地约4平方公里，在2025年3月被命名为全国文明村镇（第七届），又因魔芋种植列入广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

新丰江水库建成后有移民迁来定居；此地原分上中田、下中田，上中田归埔前镇，下中田归博罗县，村名由此而来。[3]1950年有中田乡，1958年为大队，1983年再称乡，1987年起设村委会，1990年为管理区，1998年区撤，村委会沿用至今。[2]

村情[edit]

全村448户2073人，8个村民小组，其中建点一、建点二和中新三个自然村是移民村，移民约占35%。耕地1700亩，村集体年收入约10万元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，它被列入2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建单位。广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的第一批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村里，中田村因种魔芋上榜。第七届全国文明村镇评选中，它在2025年3月获命名；2026年1月，它又成为广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
