和平村是河源市江东新区城东街道辖下的行政村，属城乡结合区。[1]村名取庆祝1949年全国和平解放之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

和平村最早是1949年梧桐乡的和平连队，此后依次为：1958年和平大队，1983年和平乡。1988年起设村委会，当时属东埔镇；1990年一度称管理区；1997年随区划调整转归源南镇，1998年恢复村委会建制，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村里成立了村集体股份公司，用集体留用地和安置房门店取得收益，并以收益为村民购买医疗保险和养老保险。[2]2020年的报道称，村内修有长1.5公里的移民示范街，另有文化广场1处、村民活动中心2处。[2]和平花园是安置本村村民的小区。[2]
