历史沿革[edit]

该村起初隶属双派大队，1973年分出，另设坪石大队；1987年改村委会；1994年称管理区；1999年改回村委会，沿用至今。[1]

自然村有白水寨、高烈、枫树下、梨树下、红湖、石空角、孔子里。[2]国家林业和草原局2019年12月公布第二批国家森林乡村，坪石村在其中。[1]
