吉水村是广东省汕尾市陆丰市八万镇最南端的村，与博美镇接壤，碣博河公路从村中两侧经过。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
吉水一带称下五乡，历史较久。建国初期为吉水乡，隶第三区（博美区）；1959年转入八万公社，改称吉水大队；1983年改乡，隶八万区；1987年改村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年复为村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
面积约8平方公里，分10个村民小组，总人口4088人，种植业与养殖业并重。[1]下辖吉水、红安、阳头、琳珠、栅一、栅二、白江、上排、红石、下元10个自然村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年10月入选2019年广东省卫生村名录；2021年9月省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单里，吉水村以加州鲈在列；2022年1月，又被省乡村振兴局列为2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1]
