历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网转述的区划资料，坪石一带1958年成立坪石大队，1983年改为坪石乡政府，1987年设村委会，1989年改称管理区，1998年又恢复为村民委员会，延续至今。[1]
经济[edit]
2026年中国食品安全网的报道配有一块“九峰镇坪石村”的标识碑，称它是乐昌黄金柰李的种植中心基地。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
薛岳故居建在九峰镇的小坪石村，占地1771平方米，2011年列入广东省文物保护单位；将领薛岳也生在小坪石村。[3][4]
