上海村在东海街道正南约10公里处，靠近东海街道经济开发区，南濒南海，西面是螺河的出水口，东接乌坎村，北邻大厝黄村；有1个自然村，面积约4.6平方千米，户籍人口3084人[1]。2023年8月，村内的上海外滩评为国家3A级旅游景区[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，村原有上海仔、下海仔两处，1962年整治螺河时下海仔迁往别处，现只剩上海仔。村原属乌坎公社，1970年划归东海镇，称上海大队，1984年改乡，1988年改管理区，1999年改村委会[2]。2021年12月，村获评「广东省卫生村」（2021年度）[2]。
上海外滩[edit]
上海外滩位于螺河与乌坎河出海的交汇处，东邻乌坎港和虎头山，西接大德岭，距陆丰市区约7公里；沙滩绵长，近岸200米内水深不超过2米，岸上有20世纪栽植、70年代起保护的2000多亩省级生态防护林[3]。景区分三期建设，一期做海岸滩涂和防风林的生态修复，配建游客服务设施、停车场、美食街、民宿、儿童林地乐园、露营地、滨海泳场等[3]。
