龙光村紧邻陆丰行政新区，面积约2平方千米，主要种植水稻、番薯和花生；总人口5601人，其中常住4469人，在外的人多在广州、深圳、东莞经商或务工[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

龙光生产大队成立于1978年，1986年改为农村管理区，1987年4月设村委会，1994年复称农村管理区，1999年称龙光村民委员会[2]。

荣誉[edit]

龙光村以莲藕入选广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；同年12月又获评「广东省卫生村」（2020年度）[2]。
