南堤社区在东海街道东部，北接红卫社区，南靠向阳社区，东连东风社区，西与六驿村为邻，省道303线沿南堤大道穿过辖区，户籍人口11063人，分竹兴、真君、金溪3个居民小组[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1978年，取原东风、向阳居委会各一部分，合组为南堤居民区；1987年4月起称南堤居委会，1994年为居民管理区，1999年又恢复居委会名称，2002年起为南堤社区居民委员会[2]。2019年9月，社区入选广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单（2018年度）[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内的杨氏四知堂是陆丰市文物保护单位[3]。
