沥背村在螺溪镇最北端，位于螺河发源地，北回归线穿过村境，距镇政府8.5公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
沥背先属各安大队；1961年分设沥背大队，1963年并回，1974年3月又分开。1984年3月归各安乡政府管理，1986年起设村委会，1990年叫管理区，1999年定名村民委员会。[2]
地理与人口[edit]
村域8.75平方千米，辖沥背上片、沥背下片、下尾、塘排4个自然村，350多户，户籍人口1580多人。[1]
红色遗址与经济[edit]
村内的沥背嶂下尾革命烈士纪念碑是广东省红色革命遗址；博雅地名网称沥背是省政府批准的红色老苏区、陆河县爱国主义教育基地的组成部分。[1][2]在外乡贤回乡，成立了广东沥背投资开发股份有限公司，着手开发螺河源头；2021年村集体经济收入8万多元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，沥背村入选首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（青梅）；2019年入选广东省卫生村名录。[2]
