新良村在螺溪镇中部，离镇政府约1公里，是螺溪镇省级新农村示范片的村之一。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新良本是良洞大队的一部分，1975年分设管理区，名新良革命委员会；1979年称生产队，1984年隶属良洞乡，1986年成为村委会，1990年叫管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[2]
地理与人口[edit]
村域5.16平方千米，辖下洋、上洋、砂竹、赤龙、三栋楼、镇塘、双塘7个自然村，600多户，户籍人口2950多人。[1]
经济[edit]
村里流转土地种茶叶和油茶，2021年村集体经济收入8万多元；省级的卫生村、民主法治村和汕尾市的文明村称号，它都有。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有三奶娘神庙，镇政府网站将其列为县级非物质文化遗产。[1][3]赤黎塘自然村的中正楼由叶氏家族建于1905年，坐北朝南，布局为“上三下三一横屋加外横屋”，石脚泥砖墙，占地282.2平方米，2012年列为县级文物保护单位，因修缮改变原貌，2020年1月21日撤销。[4]
