白岭头村属河源市源城区源西街道，处在市区西北端，离市中心不远，村委会在205国道边。博雅地名网说，此地山岭贫瘠，土里多碎石，因而叫白岭头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年设白岭头乡，1958年人民公社成立，称白岭头大队，1983年复设白岭头乡，1987年设村民委员会，1990年改设管理区，1999年撤销管理区，设白岭头村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口[edit]
村域15平方千米，分25个村民小组，居住人口1.1万多，外来者6030多人，本村村民4970人；村党总支成立于2018年12月，辖3个支部，共99名党员。[1]2019年9月，村在广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单（2018年度）中榜上有名。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
望郎回山上有摩崖石刻，明嘉靖四十五年（1566年）刻成，长3.5米、高1.6米，楷书阴刻十行50字，现存48字可辨，所记为俞大猷率官兵平定李亚元一伙之事。石刻1983年被发现与连平县田源镇水西的摩崖石刻内容相同，2009年文物普查后确认了位置。[2]石刻为源城区文物保护单位，本体外缘四周各50米划作保护范围，约4.88万平方米；与它有关的传说，已入选河源市第二批市级非物质文化遗产。[2]
