樟河村在上护镇中部，傍螺河上护河段，国道G235线从村中经过；是全镇人口最多的村，共有11个自然村，东硁、水口、樟河等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后属河田区的樟河乡，1958年改立樟河大队，1974年樟洋大队从中分出，1999年起称樟河村民委员会。[2]

地理与人口[edit]

面积6.73平方千米，山地约1.3万亩，耕地1500亩。镇政府的数字是889户、4889人，另说常住约5300人；博雅地名网另记总人口4300多人。[1][3]

11个自然村为：樟河、水口、东硁、野鸭、石水，再加柑园、寨头、树头、天楼、桃树和三寨。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村以农业收入为主，种水稻、皇帝柑、火龙果，也有人外出务工经商。[1] 村是镇上创建生态文明村的示范点，2012年被评为「广东省文明村」。[1]

樟河一带建有瑞龙庄园，据快懂百科，是香港商人朱伯昌投资的庄园。[4]
