罗南村在可塘镇西南，北邻罗东村，下有南笏、崎岭、新厝、大夫寮和炉洋五个自然村，居民主要姓吴、林、黄。[1][2]

村里水稻种植面积在全镇最大，与罗东、罗北、罗西、罗山合称「五罗」，被称为可塘的粮仓。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

罗南乡设于1952年，属海丰九区；之后依次归可塘区、可塘公社和区公所，1987年成罗南村委会，1989年改称管理区办事处，1998年又改回村委会。[1]

经济与文化[edit]

罗南地势低，旧时常闹水灾，还受咸潮侵袭；新中国成立后修水利、建闸防洪防潮，农田才得以灌溉。全村耕地3101亩。[2] 新厝村有元宵花灯的传统，「麒麟虎炮」是申报省级非遗的项目；南笏村旧有一所书塾，供孔子牌位，据博雅地名网说是可塘镇最早有书塾的村子。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（水稻）；2024年3月被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
