可北村在可塘镇东北约1.5公里，因在可塘镇的北面而得名，辖新丰、埔中央、远征、尚仁家、白沙5个自然村，姓氏以周、黄、林、庄为主。[1]
村在广汕公路两侧，是古代惠州通往潮州的要道。清代曾在官道高地上设烟墩、炮台。牛皮地、埔中央和白沙村有天主教堂。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1952年，位于可塘镇北面的村庄合设为九区可北乡，名称即由此来；1958年改作可塘公社的可北大队，1987年成村委会，1989年称管理区办事处，1998年恢复村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
以农业为主，采用渔、禽、果立体种养，养殖家禽和水产，有西瓜和花卉种植基地。耕地1920亩，其中果园210亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（京粉蛋鸡）；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
