陇东村在可塘镇西南部，西南与陶河镇相接，离可塘墟约4公里，下辖宋溪头、笏仔、兰头、白町、新乡和内乡6个自然村。[1][2]

村后是宋王山，宋溪从村前流过；相传南宋景炎三年宋端宗逃到此地凿通东西两溪，后人称这一水道为宋溪。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属海丰六区可塘镇，1952年初设九区陇东乡，1958年为可塘公社陇东大队；1984年改称可塘区公所陇东乡，1987年为可塘镇陇东村委会，1989年称陇东管理区办事处，1998年复设村委会至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村民以王姓为主，另有蔡、吴等姓，房屋多是平房石木结构。[1][2] 不少村民迁到镇内从事珠宝行业，村里也有数家珠宝加工的家庭作坊。[2] 农业种水稻、蔬菜并兼营养殖，耕地1606亩，淡水养殖面积330亩。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

宋溪头得名于宋溪，现存宋王山、宋师岭和宋墓群的遗迹。[2][3] 村里的名人有王曼、王文魁。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予该村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
