青坑社区是赤坑镇政府驻地所在的居民社区，也是镇中心区。[1][2]社区由新村、青雅、青坑3个自然村组成，据村情材料，约有8000人，其中务农者3800人，耕地3200多亩。[1]

历史与经济[edit]

村情材料称这里建居已有五百多年，旧称青坑圩，是周边村庄赶集之地。[1][2]当地种水稻约600亩，辣椒、玉米各约300亩；山上有桉树2000亩，辖内还有赤沙、吉仔、虎陷3座水库。社区设2间文化书屋、1座文化广场，有醒狮队3支。[1]
