金町村在马宫街道，濒临海边，同香洲街道接壤，离市区约6公里，村域4平方公里，汕长公路从村旁经过。[1]

下辖12个村民小组、9个自然村，博雅地名网记有558户、3145人。村域约三分之二的土地在长沙湾工业区内，引进了手袋厂、珠宝饰品公司等企业；村内还有白沙浮海滩，已引入长沙湾旅游度假城的建设。[1]

荣誉[edit]

金町村的国家级荣誉不少：2018年7月，司法部和民政部表彰它为全国民主法治示范村（社区），属第七批；2021年12月，民政部办公厅确认它做村级议事协商创新的试点；2023年11月，列入第三批全国乡村治理示范村；2025年5月，进入全国示范性老年友好型社区的创建名单（2025—2026年度）。省一级，2020年12月得过卫生村称号。[1]
