新北村在马宫街道中部，是革命老区村，西靠长沙湾出海口，离集镇约3.5公里，汕马公路穿过全村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
最初叫清町乡，在红草区内。公社化后立新乡大队，归马宫公社；1989年成为新北管理区，1999年改设村民委员会，隶属马宫街道。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
辖新乡、姚厝地、北山3个自然村，博雅地名网记有371户、1617人。耕地380亩（水田314亩、旱地57亩），果园500亩，山坡地2500亩，海水养殖650亩，其中虾池400亩。2008年，村里成立了城区第一个金鲳养殖合作社。[1]
荣誉[edit]
村的荣誉按时间排：2019年9月进入省民主法治示范村（社区）创建名单（2018年度）；2020年12月得省爱卫会授予的卫生村称号；2021年9月，省农业农村厅公布第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，新北以优质稻列入；2026年1月，被评为第二批省“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
