城南社区在汕尾市区南部，属香洲街道。范围大致在通航路以北、延通港路和城内路以西，直到城内路圆盘，再折回城南路以东。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2000年，从新区居委会分出，定名城南居委会，沿用至今。[1]

人口、学校与荣誉[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区有799户、6780人，红光、新成、海林、明星、新星等小学都在辖区内。2019年9月，它列入广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2020年12月又被评为2020年广东省卫生村。[1]
