历史沿革[edit]
村名取自驻地城南。[1] 城南大队设于1958年；1983年12月起与团星大队合称附城乡；到1987年1月，设城南村民委员会，延续到现在。[1]
经济[edit]
城南村是2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布名单），2023年11月入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村，2024年11月获广州市高质量就业社区（村）认定。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
邓德远夫妇墓在城南村的风云岭东麓，属街口街道登记的不可移动文物。[2]
