梧桐村是汕尾市城区香洲街道的行政村，在市区汕马公路北侧，据博雅地名网所载，明代建村，已有四百多年，是区内的革命老区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
梧桐在解放初为东冲区香州乡的一村，公社化后编入西联大队，归香洲公社。1989年西联改称管理区、划归香洲街道，1999年梧桐从中分出，成立村委会，至今未变。[1]
经济与教育[edit]
村域约6平方公里，有耕地1000亩、山地约2000亩；344户，1835人。村民种稻、番薯、花生和蔬菜，一部分劳力受雇于个体企业或搞种养。自2003年起，村里筹资1115万元铺设村道和巷道；村办公立小学1所，2006年华师附中也设在辖区内。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村列入广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2020年12月，评为2020年广东省卫生村；2026年1月，确定为广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
