金海社区是汕尾市城区新港街道的居委会，位于汕马公路西段，向东到联检路，向西到新能源发电厂，与马宫街道接壤。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原属第六居委辖区，新园社区分设后，汕尾市城区人民政府2000年3月批准设立金海居委会（另一处写作同年7月从第六居委分出）。[1]博雅地名网称它是建市后形成的新移民区。[1]
