名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网说，早在客家人由闽、赣迁来兴宁以前，就有罗、江两姓在这里落脚，地方因而叫「罗江」；客家话中「江」与「岗」读音相同，加上周围山岗多，后来改写成「罗岗」，社区和镇的名称都由此而来。[1]
