历史沿革[edit]

关于村名，博雅地名网的说法是：村处河的南侧，故称水南。[1]

建置方面：水南在1958年为龙村公社下的生产大队，1972年冬划入新设的硝芳公社，1985年归硝芳派出所，1990年硝芳撤区设镇后属硝芳镇；1999年成水南村委会，2004年随硝芳并入龙村镇。[1]

全村辖8个村民小组，总面积2.39平方公里，耕地1050亩。[1]
