1999年经五华县人民政府批准成立，沿用原来的地名，再加上政府命名的机构，故有此名。[1]

1949年前后，这里叫唐纯乡。其后建制屡变：1958年立大队，1983年又称乡政府，1989年设管理区，至1999年才定为村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里主要种植水稻。据博雅地名网，村里一年的经济总收入约1915万元（所指年份未注明）。[1]
