居民住得分散，山高岭陡，最初叫岐岭下，后改称葵岭。[1]
1949年前后，这里叫葵岭乡。其后建制屡变：1958年立大队，1983年又称乡政府，1989年设管理区，至1999年才定为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里主要种植水稻、吊梨。据博雅地名网，村里一年的经济总收入约1473万元（所指年份未注明）。[1]
