占山村属梅州市丰顺县砂田镇，是一个行政村，在镇域东北部，辖7个村民小组[1]。
名称由来[edit]
村委会设在占山境内，故称占山[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
占山大队是1974年由红星大队析出的，所辖原为占头的内山片，因而取名占山；其后1983年为占山乡，1987年为管理区，1999年建制为占山村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料记载，在册131户、659人，总面积6.5平方千米，耕地约310亩；农户靠水稻、生猪和外出打工谋生，村集体靠出租土地取得收入和水电站发电；上一年农村经济总收入280万元[1]。

2019年9月，占山村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。[1]。
