黄花村属梅州市丰顺县砂田镇，是一个行政村，在镇域西部，辖14个村民小组[1]。
名称由来[edit]
据传最初在此建村时，四处开满黄花，因而得名[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1961年公社化时设黄花大队，隶砂田公社；1983年起为黄花乡；1987年改镇后作管理区；1999年起建制为黄花村村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料记载，在册224户、1106人，总面积8.7平方千米，耕地约290亩；主要经济作物为水稻，村里以旅游为主要收入；上一年农村经济总收入440万元[1]。
荣誉[edit]
黄花村2010年获中国生态文化协会授予「全国生态文化村」；2019年12月进入第一批国家森林乡村名单；2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2024年4月进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建名单[1]。
文化[edit]
百度百科称黄花村又名“教授村”，新中国成立以来走出三十多位专家、教授，其中有数学家、中国科学院院士李国平；村内有李国平院士故居、仰山公祠等[2]。数学家李国平生于1910年11月，卒于1996年2月，1933年自中山大学数学天文系毕业，后来成为中国科学院院士[3]。
