名称由来[edit]

村委会设在占上村的炉窑，故称占上[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

占上大队隶属砂田公社（1961年公社化后），1984年起改乡，1987年随撤区改镇成为管理区，1999年改为村民委员会[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

村情材料记载，在册232户、1152人，总面积8.2平方千米，耕地约320亩；以水电为主要收入，农民种水稻、经营木材；上一年农村经济总收入434万元[1]。

扶贫开发“双到”工作中，在梅州市建设银行帮扶下，村里修建了自然村道，并资助农户参加农村合作医疗。[1]。
