占中村属梅州市丰顺县砂田镇，是一个行政村，在镇域中部，辖13个村民小组[1]。
名称由来[edit]
因村民委员会设于中村而名占中，该村委会由丰顺县人民政府于1999年批准设立[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
该地1954年办红星初级社，次年并入占头高级社，1958年建红星大队。1961年红星大队分出占头、占上两个大队，1974年再分出占山大队，1978年又分出占村大队；1983年起为占中乡，1987年为管理区，1999年建制为占中村村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料记载，在册252户、1196人，总面积7平方千米，耕地约320亩；村民以种水稻、种油茶、养猪、外出务工为主；上一年农村经济总收入473万元[1]。

2019年9月，占中村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。2026年3月，占中村入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]。
