双湖村在丰顺县汤西镇北部，离镇中心约2公里，省道228线从村中经过。村名因辖下自然村广湖、湖陂的名字里都有“湖”字而来[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

双湖高级社（1956年）、双湖大队（1959年）、双湖乡（1983年）、双湖管理区（1990年）、双湖村委会（1999年），名称沿用至今[3]。

村情[edit]

村情介绍说，村下3个自然村，共626户，合计2980人，是省定贫困村之一，由广州市协作办帮扶；辖区1.11平方公里，耕地674亩，种香芋、蔬菜、马铃薯、稻米[1]。在帮扶下，村里建起约300亩的香芋种植基地，2011年又筹资十多万元，建了约3亩的小公园[1]。

2026年1月，双湖村入选「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
