历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载：1962年起叫作横东大队；此后1982年起叫作横东乡人民政府；随后1987年起叫作横东村民委员会；再后来1990年起叫作横东管理区；接着1999年起叫作横东村民委员会；2004年10月东联镇建制撤销后，横东村民委员会划入汤坑镇。[3]

荣誉：列入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单（2024年4月）。[1]
