赤坑村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，位于韩江西岸，与丰顺县潭江镇相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

过去山上植被稀少，一遇大雨，村里的坑水变成赤黄色，故名赤坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属清远都桃花社三洲村，清代属古源甲三洲村，民国归高陂区三洲乡。1961年3月归古埜公社，设赤坑大队，1983年12月改设古埜区赤坑乡，1986年12月改属古埜乡赤坑村，1998年起称村民委员会，2003年复归高陂镇。[1]

村情与荣誉[edit]

村辖10个村民小组，在册203户、1042人，耕地778亩，所载上一年农村经济总收入1093万元。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
