埔田村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，1961年才从古东大队分出独立。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，此地曾受洪水冲刷，宽阔的坝地上冲出五个相连的大湖窟，俗称「湖连埠」，又叫「蒲田」，「埔」与「蒲」同音，遂作埔田。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年，埔田自古东大队析出，另立生产大队，隶古埜公社；1983年12月改设古埜区埔田乡，1986年12月改属古埜乡埔田村，1998年起称村民委员会，2003年后复归高陂镇。[1]
村情与荣誉[edit]
村辖11个村民小组，在册348户、1798人，耕地660亩，主要种青菜、玉米，所载上一年农村经济总收入1317万元。2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2021年12月，获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
