大塘坝村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇下辖的行政村，村名与村中的塘和塘坝有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传村里原有3口大塘，为防洪水，人们把塘边的坝筑得连成一片，因此叫大塘坝。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属清远都高陂村，清代属古源甲桃花村，民国归高陂区桃花乡。1978年3月，三洲公社设立，村作为其下的大塘坝大队，1983年冬改设大塘坝乡，1986年12月改属高陂镇大塘坝村，1998年改称村委会。[1]
