太宁村是大埔县茶阳镇下辖的行政村，位于茶阳镇上角片[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

关于名称：小靖河贯穿村境，旧称小靖，后取太平安宁之意改称太宁[2]。

据该网辑录的资料，太宁村明代属小靖社，清代属太宁甲；1952年设龙潭乡，1958年10月时编为埔城公社龙潭大队，至1963年时起称茶阳公社太宁大队，1985年上半年归入茶阳镇[3]。

太宁村在2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。太宁村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单，时间为2019年9月[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

太宁义训堂是村里的清代古建筑，始建于乾隆年间，梅州市人民政府在2021年12月6日把它列入第八批市文物保护单位；堂前广场上有“朱德赠枪太宁农军”的雕塑，堂内设展馆，存有革命时期的文物[4]。博雅地名网还写到，该堂年代为1763年，曾做过大埔县委机关办公处，并是农运先驱饶龙光的故居[1]。

著名人物[edit]

饶龙光（1896—1950）生于太宁乡，原名饶龙昌。1923年办起太宁公学，当年冬天成立了大埔县第一个乡农会；他于1925年入党，后任中共大埔县委书记、工农革命政府主席。1927年他领导茶阳暴动，占领县城，九月又带领农军去接应南昌起义的部队。1950年7月，他在福建龙岩任上因公去世，后被追认为烈士[5]。
