西湖村是大埔县茶阳镇下辖的行政村，位于茶阳镇城中片[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
关于名称：村子临汀江，江水平静如湖，建村处在河口，原称小湖口；据民国《大埔县志》，康熙五十九年（1720年）重修湖山禅院，院前江面如平湖、秋夜月色澄澈，村名遂称西湖，湖山禅院为茶阳八景之一[2]。
据该网辑录的资料，西湖村明代属神泉社，称小湖口，清代属在城甲；1958年10月时编为埔城公社西湖大队，至1963年时转属茶阳公社，1985年上半年归入茶阳镇[3]。
