下马湖村是大埔县茶阳镇下辖的行政村，位于茶阳镇城中片[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
关于名称：旧时此地荒僻、山路崎岖，人马到此须下马步行，地形又似一片湖，村名由此得来[2]。
据该网辑录的资料，下马湖村明代称神泉硿下村，清代称在城甲硿下村；1952年设下马湖乡，1958年10月时编为埔城公社下马湖大队，至1963年时转属茶阳公社，1985年上半年归入茶阳镇[3]。
