历史沿革[edit]

城西1949年9月在一区城北乡，1951年12月单设城西乡，1957年12月并回城北乡，1958年10月是城西大队，1984年3月复称乡，1987年1月设村民委员会，1989年10月称管理区，1999年5月起用现名。[1]2020年8月，城西村入选首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，产业为丝苗米；2024年4月，它列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]同年，村里引进一家农业公司，建成百果里农旅项目。[2]
