坦塘村位于广东省惠州市惠东县白花镇，是该镇的村级单位之一。祖先迁入时，这里有两片平坦宽阔的湖泊，称坦湖；客家话里「塘」与「湖」意思相近，后改称坦塘。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据载，明弘治十八年（1505）有人迁入，取名坦湖。明代至同治八年（1869）为归善县上下淮社所辖，次年改属堡良约堡。1947年归惠阳县第四区，1949年12月更名坦塘，隶平白区石陂乡。1958年10月起设坦塘大队，隶白花公社，1965年7月起属惠东县。1983年11月设坦塘村，隶坦塘乡；1987年3月成立村委会，1991年12月称坦塘管理区，1999年4月起称坦塘村委会。[2]

经济[edit]

  • 坦塘村属2022年广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为荔枝，由省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定。[1]
  • 2019年9月，坦塘村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的黄沙塘村有黄沙塘高桥，是一座四孔平梁的青麻石桥，长21.57米，宽0.8米，列为省级文物保护单位（第七批），详见白花镇条目。[3]
