白花社区是惠东县白花镇辖下的城镇社区。社区所在的墟镇原是一片长满芒草的荒地，秋冬芒草开花，墟镇一带白茫茫一片，人称白芒花，后来简称白花，社区由此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1869年，白花一带归上下淮社碧甲司管辖，次年划入归善县堡良约堡，交县丞管理，当时只是个叫白芒花的小村。1931年8月设为白花镇，1937年9月降为乡，1943年2月又改回镇。1950年6月称白花乡，隶平白区（六区）；1951年12月起，惠阳县第十二区的区府驻在这里。1958年10月成为白花居民大队；1983年11月随白花区划归惠东县，再称白花镇。1987年3月改设居委，2002年改称社区。2011年4月沿河社区分出后，白花社区居民委员会存续至今。[2]
