东明村是广东省惠州市惠阳区沙田镇所辖的行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区[1]。村名取自土地改革后合组该村的东澳、明新两村，各取一字[1]。2025年3月，东明村被命名为第七届「全国文明村镇」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

东明乡设于1953年，由土改后的明新、东澳两村合成。公社化的1958年，它成了淡水公社的东明大队。1977年另设沙田公社，东明大队随之划入，并一分为二，东明与东澳各为一队。1999年起为东明村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

博雅地名网列出的荣誉有：2017年10月，列为第一批广东省卫生村；2019年12月，认定为全国乡村治理示范村；2023年1月，获司法部、民政部命名为第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）；同年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村[1]。
