历史沿革[edit]
东澳最初是淡水公社下的一个大队。沙田公社设立的1978年，它并进了东明大队；到1981年之后，才又独立出来。管理区的名称使用于1991年，1999年管理区撤销、改设村民委员会，名称延续到现在[1]。
荣誉[edit]
据博雅地名网所列，2019年9月，东澳村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
