高狮社区是四会市城中街道下辖的社区居民委员会，原为高狮村，2012年村改居[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

高狮最早是1958年的高狮大队，隶四会县清塘公社；1983年改乡，归清塘区；1987年设村委会，1988年改称管理区，隶清塘镇；清塘镇撤销的1994年，这里随之划入街道；1998年复称村民委员会。2012年11月，经四会市人民政府批复（四府批〔2012〕116号），撤销村民委员会，设高狮社区居民委员会[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网引述的村委会介绍称，辖区有14个村民小组，户籍人口894户3220人，土地总面积5030亩，约3.35平方千米。农业以淡水养鱼和养猪为主，有鱼塘1200亩、水稻1100亩；20世纪90年代以来工商业发展较快，辖区内有橡胶鞋厂、陶瓷厂等劳动密集型工厂[1]。
