地名来历：清代旧称“大潘坊”，1951年建乡政府时沿用“大潘”之名。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村辖28个自然村，据博雅地名网所载，2008年前后有718户3034人，耕地815亩，山林18000亩，鱼塘30亩，党员58人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2026年1月，被评为「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
  • 2019年9月，进入2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
