桂洞村是广东省肇庆市广宁县古水镇下辖的村。桂洞村位于古水镇东南部，东邻南街街道，是古水镇的沙糖桔产地，当地曾多次在此召开省、市沙糖桔现场会。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间已有桂洞之名，隶顾溪铺。1930年立桂洞乡，归二区管；人民公社时期改作桂洞大队；1983年恢复乡的建制，1987年起叫村委会，1998年定名为桂洞村民委员会。[1]
地名来历：相传这里原是原始森林，山高林密，桂树丛生，四季桂花飘香，因此得名桂洞。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村辖21个自然村，据博雅地名网所载，2008年前后有646户2831人，耕地777亩，山林14852亩，鱼塘70亩，党员67人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月，进入2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
